Sample display boards from Proline
New sample boards from Proline Concrete Tools come in more than 30 patterns. The boards are made from a cementitious mix, weigh less than 10 pounds, measure 23 inches by 23 inches and are easy to hang. Each board contains the chosen pattern surrounded by a faux wood border.
Retailers can display these boards in stores, and contractors can purchase them through distributors. The boards can be ordered integrally colored with any of Proline's 40-plus choices of color hardener or colored to a specific recipe, including those found on Proline's Web site. They can also be ordered plain and used as a sample of how a contractor plans to color a specific decorative concrete project. The boards contain lime and will react with acid stain.
"We get a great amount of calls asking how one can duplicate the colored samples in our catalog and Web site," says Tyler Irwin, Proline's national sales manager, in a news release. "So we decided to make it easy and develop Sample Boards Recipes for our Web site. We took them to the WOC and everyone wanted some."

Eagle machine does it all
Eagle Solutions has developed the EcoScrub-n-Buff, a floor scrubber, burnisher and vacuum recovery unit powered with an EPA- and CARB-approved engine. It can be used on many floor surfaces, including tile, VCT, polished or unpolished concrete, marble and terrazzo.
Features include the ability to clean and burnish in the same pass, steel-frame construction, twin high-flow vacuums, a zero turning radius and high-capacity tanks. The machine is powered by propane and includes an emissions monitor that will automatically shut it down if the engine is not running at an optimum level.

L.M. Scofield's new Formula One Lithium Densifier MP (short for multipurpose) is a chemically reactive colorless treatment designed for colored concrete floors, especially those that consist of ground and polished architectural concrete.
The densifier produces a floor surface with improved abrasion resistance, greater gloss retention, higher surface compressive strength and reduced dusting. This formulation can be diluted with clean water when treating high-quality, hard, steel-troweled floors. Porous or low-quality floors, or floors whose characteristics are not known, are best treated full strength.
Scofield Formula One Lithium Densifier MP has zero VOC emissions and is an economical product capable of providing longer life and higher reflectivity for colored concrete and ground and polished floors of all types. CoolStain from NewLook
CoolStain, a solid stain from Newlook International, has a formula that incorporates infrared reflective pigment technologies to minimize heat build in objects exposed to sunlight.
The stain is ideal for pool decks, patios and sidewalks, city parks, aquatic areas, and other locations where the hot summer sun beats down on concrete.
CoolStain is able to reduce surface temperatures by 17 1/2 F to 50 F, which allows for more comfort when walking barefoot during the hot summer months. It also improves solar reflectivity, lowers energy absorption, which reduces heat emission, and qualifies for LEED points.
